Your Dogs Health & Welfare
By attending your appointment you as the owner confirm that your dog is fit and healthy and you have made me aware if your dog has any underlying medical conditions or allergies. We do use a hypoallergenic shampoo and fragrance however, if your dog does have sensitive skin let me know prior to their groom and I will ensure we use a sensitive shampoo and take extra measures.

If your dog displays signs of stress during the grooming process we will work with your dog to try and desensitize them to the process, this can take multiple visits to do this. Occasionally, this does mean that we might be unable to fully complete some aspects of the groom if this happens we will let you know.

We always strive to provide the best service possible however accidents can happen due to using sharp equipment on a moving object (your dog). In the event of an accident or medical issue arising you authorise us to take your dog to the nearest vet should they need it. I am not held liable for death or medical emergencies arising due to an underlying medical condition prior to their appointment.

Payments
Full payment is required upon collection of your dog after their groom. This can be paid by cash, card or bank transfer.

Time Keeping
We work by appointment only, if you are more than 15 minutes late then I might not have enough time to complete the groom and therefore have to reschedule your appointment. Please contact me if you think you are going to be late to your appointment.

Cancellations
I require more than 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. If notice is under 24 hours you be charged 50% of the price of the groom.
No showing to your appointment will result in a charge of 100% of the cost of the groom which will need to be paid upfront before you book your next appointment.

Matting
Here at Fluffy Paws Dog Grooming your dogs comfort will always come first. If your dog is matted we will not cause discomfort and distress by brushing out matting (de-matting). This means that we would have to clip off their coat very short which will change their appearance. Shaving the matting might expose pre-existing skin conditions.
We are not held liable for any pre-existing conditions that is exposed from the matting. We also will not be held liable for any conditions arising from clipping off the matting. Examples include, but are not limited to, redness, hematomas, irritation and nicks due to the closeness of the matting to the skin.
If the matting is severe there will be a matting fee of £10 this because matting puts extra pressure on my equipment which causes them to blunt much faster and I will also need to book out extra time as it takes longer to clip.

My Safety
I reserve the right to muzzle your dog if they represent a danger to myself or those around. Any dog who shows aggression may be refused and sent home. Please let me know of any known behaviour problems your dog may have at the time of booking an appointment as extra measures can be put in place.

Fleas
Please inform me prior to the groom if you have found fleas on your dog. If fleas are found on your dog and we have not been informed prior, an additional fee of £10 (on top of the groom price) will be incurred to pay for the products required to treat the salon and prevent cross contamination to other dogs.

Anal Glands
Fluffy Paws Dog Grooming does not perform anal gland expression. Please seek veterinary treatment for this.

Ear Plucking
Removing the hair can irritate the delicate skin of the ear canals and lead to ear problems. Plucking the dead hair from a dogs ear leaves minute openings on the skin which bacteria could settle in more easily. I only pluck ears if requested by the owner and only after the ears have been cleaned to reduce risk of bacteria. Ear plucking can be very beneficial with wool coated breeds as reduces the risk of ear infected caused by the dead hair. This can also be beneficial for wool coated breeds.

Feedback
Please inform me upon collection if there is any aspect of your dogs groom that you are dissatisfied with. If its a quick fix I might be able to rectify it immediately or I will make a note of any appropriate changes for your next appointment.

Photographs
I do often take photos before, during and after your dogs groom which I will sometimes post on social media (My business Facebook page & Instagram page) If you do not want photos of your dog(s) posted on social media then please let me know and I will avoid posting photos of you dog(s).
